Happy St. Patrick’s Day everyone! You don’t have to be irish to enjoy some green treats and booze. Since I am not 21, I am here to share the first: Green Velvet Brownies! I have been eyeing Jessica’s Red Velvet Brownies ever since she posted them and I finally got around to making them, GREENIFIED I enjoy the theme of green here, mostly because my last name is GREEN
My parents reactions to the bright green color was more than alarming, they skeptically tasted the brownies only to regret any judgements they made prior to eating. Never just a book by its cover, or a brownie by its color. Words to live by my friends.
I did not make the frosting because I wanted to be able to stack these to being to school but I will be sure to try out that frosting soon, I mean white chocolate fluffiness…yes please!
The brownies are moist, flavorful and festive; the perfect treat for the day! I used 1/2 cup of chocolate chips (semi-sweet) which, according to my friend, “Made the brownies” She really likes chocolate. Otherwise, I followed Jessica’s recipe exactly! Go make these, whether Green or Red! And enjoy witha magnificent SPRING day, I hope to get a spring in my step before the sun goes down!
With love and cupcakes,
Cookteen
PS: I turn 18 ONE MONTH from today!!!
